Spring is Coming

For me, spring is defined by flowers. I realize everyone takes flower photos, but I think I have an extra good eye with this subject and I'm particularly proud of my flower pictures. So with that, here are four of my favorite shots from my collection. You can see more at my store, mollymortphotography.

Macro Red Poppy Flower iPhone 4 Case

Protect your iPhone cell phone with this case featuring a macro photograph I took of a poppy. It was shot with a Raynox 250, so there's a very limited depth of field to this photo. On the other hand, the intensity of the green and the thorns on the stem are amazing and the color in this photo is vibrant and bold.

Red Flowering Quince Stamp

These postage stamps feature a photo I took of the Red Flowering Quince, also known as the Japonica. This flower is actually a shrub and used as a hedge in some locals. The pretty red flowers are so soft looking and like how in this photo the bokeh is really highlighting them. Be sure to look for matching greeting cards and postcards.

Red Zinnia iPad Case

Keep your iPad safe with this case featuring a photo I took of a red Zinnia flower. Zinnias come in many colors and shapes making them a popular garden flower. Many gardeners plant Zinnias because they attract butterflies. This one is red with yellow stamen; the petals look soft and velvety.

Budding Purple Iris Postcard

This postcard features a photo I took of a budding, purple iris. A very spring oriented photo, the grass in the background is bright green and the sun was hitting the bud of the Iris creating sparkles! A very colorful and pretty photo! Be sure to look for matching stamps.
